HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN IMUNISASI DASAR LENGKAP TERHADAP TUMBUH KEMBANG BALITA USIA 9-12 BULAN DI PUSKESMAS PONDOK RANGGON, JAKARTA TIMUR PERIODE APRIL 2015
Healthy children would grow and develop properly, while children who often ill, their growth and development would disrupted. Factors that influence growth and development were age, gender, genetics, chromosomal abnormalities, nutritional, immunological disorder, delivery factor, immunization, upbringing environment and stimulation. Immunization was important factor that effects the growth and development of a child. Ideally, every child should receive complete immunization, but in reality there were children who did not receive complete basic and optimal immunization. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of complete basic immunization to the growth and development of children in age range of 9-12 months old. The type of the research is analytic observational with cross sectional study design and sample size of 81 people. The univariat analysis indicated the prevalence of the complete basic immunization was 71 people (84,7%) and the prevalence of the incomplete basic immunization was 13 people (15,3%). The result of bivariate analysis showed no significant relation between the provision of complete basic immunizations with the growth (p=0,166), while there is a significant relation between the provosion of complete basic immunizations with children development (p=0,000). Suggestions for mothers , that is required to provide complete basic immunization for newborn children until age 9 months because immunization very useful to prevent disease and mother must consider granting schedule immunization toddler age-appropriate, so that no delay on immunization administration.
