PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN INSERT SILICONE HEEL CUP TERHADAP ENERGY COST PADA PENGGUNA SEPATU HAK TINGGI
High heels are now widely used, both among workers and students. The use of high
heels gives a lot of influence to the body, one of which is the energy cost when walking using
high heels. Purpose: Prove the effect of using insert silicone heel cup on high heels users who
have different foot shape to energy cost when using high heels Methods: Experimental research
within subject design. With one group treated in the form of insert silicone heel cup and not
treated. There were 8 female participants who were willing to participate in this study and had
already fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria chosen by purposive sampling. Participants
aged 18-30 years use high heels ≥ 2 cm. Each participant will do 2 tests, walking on the Treadmill
with and without the Insert Silicone Heel Cup. Results: the results of this study indicate that
there is an influence on energy cost on users of high heels who have different foot shapes
with a p-value of 0.012. While the p-value in the comparison before and after using
insert silicone heel cup on energy cost had no significant difference (p = 0.813). There is
no significant difference in energy cost on walking speed when using a insert silicone
heel cup (p = 1,000). Conclusion: there is an effect on the use of insert silicone heel cup
on the energy cost of high heels users with different foot shapes.
