Background: Work accident during practical is a risk for every Prosthetics&Orthotics (P&O) students. Work accident, even if it’s the minor one, could lead to major injury in future. Therefore, there should be prevention acts to prevent the major injury to be happened like find out factors related to work accident. Viola (2018) found that 58% of P&O students at Polytechnic of Health Science Jakarta I had experienced work accident during practical. Unfortunately, there’s never been a study conducted to find factors that are related to the work accident happened on students. Objective: To find factors related to work accident on P&O students of Polytechnic of Health Science Jakarta I. Method: Analytical quantitative research by conducting a cross sectional study using questionnaire and observation sheet. Result: From 59 respondent, 44 students (74.6%) had experienced work accident and most of the causes is cut by the sharp tools. There’s significant relation between work accident experienced by the student to attitude (p=0.000) and supervision (p=0.000) factors. There’s no significant relation between work accident experienced to the knowledge (p=0.067) and environmental (p=0.174) factors. Conclusion: There’s significant relation between work accident experienced by the student to the attitude and supervision factors. Suggestion: Use more variables to find the factors related to work accident like environmental factors such as physical, chemical, and biological.
