Ketidakpuasan pasien sering disebabkan karena kurangnya komunikasi yang terjalin dengan pasien. Tingkat kepuasan pasien sangat tergantung pada bagaimana faktor komunikasi dapat terpenuhi. Komunikasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam dunia kesehatan adalah komunikasi terapeutik.
Tujuan. Menganalisa hubungan pengetahuan komunikasi terapeutik mahasiswa ortotik prostetik dengan kepuasan pasien, dan mendeskripsikan pengetahuan komunikasi terapeutik mahasiswa ortotik prostetik.
Metode. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dengan responden 37 mahasiswa dan 37 pasien Klinik Laboratorium Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta 1.
Hasil. Mahasiswa dengan pengetahuan baik sebanyak 54.1% dan pengetahuan cukup 45.9%. Pasien merasa puas sebanyak 82.5% dan 13.5% pasien merasa cukup puas. Hubungan pengetahun komunikasi terapeutik mahasiswa dengan kepuasan pasien tidak signifikan (p-value 0.2 dan OR 0.250).
Pembahasan. Sikap dan tindakan mahasiswa terhadap komunikasi terapeutik merupakan faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kepuasan pasien selain pengetahuan komunikasi.
Kesimpulan. Tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan komunikasi terapeutik mahasiswa ortotik prostetik dengan kepuasan pasien di Klinik Laboratorium Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta 1. The patient dissatisfaction are often caused by a lack of communication with patients. The level of patient satisfaction depends on how communication factors can be fulfilled. Communication that can be applied in the world of health is therapeutic communication.
Objective. Analyze the relationship between therapeutic communication knowledge of prosthetic orthotic students and patient satisfaction, and describing the knowledge of therapeutic communication on prosthetic orthotic students.
Methods. Quantitative descriptive method with cross sectional approach, with 37 students and 37 respondents from Polytechnic of Health Ministry of Health Jakarta 1.
Result. Students with good knowledge as much as 54.1% and sufficient knowledge of 45.9%. Patients were satisfied as much as 82.5% and 13.5% of patients felt quite satisfied. The relationship between students' therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction was not significant (p-value 0.2 and OR 0.250).
Discussion. Student attitudes and actions towards therapeutic communication are the other factors that influence patient satisfaction beside communication knowledge.
Conclusion. There is no significant relation between therapeutic communication knowledge of orthotics prosthetics student with patient satisfaction in Lab Clinic Polytechnic of Health Ministry of Health Jakarta 1.
